  • Update on UI languages

    • Q2 2022

    • 2 June

We are aligning the language settings for our two products, Phrase and Memsource. Phrase, currently available in two languages, will be translated into nine more languages. In Memsource, the six least used languages will be removed. These languages are used by, on average, only 0,2% of our user base.

New list of available UI languages:

    • English
    • German
    • Spanish
    • French
    • Portuguese
    • Italian
    • Czech
    • Russian
    • Japanese
    • Korean
    • Chinese (Simplified)

By the end of June, users using the Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Slovak, or Turkish localization of the Memsource user interface will be automatically switched to the English interface.

Users preferring to switch to a different language, can manually update the language settings in their user profile.

  • Bulk commenting and LQA flagging now available

    • Q2 2022

    • 26 April

Users of the Memsource Editor for Web and Desktop can now comment on multiple segments at once from the standard translation table view or when filtering segments. This dramatically reduces the need to manually duplicate repeated comments. Related actions can also be done in bulk, such as editing, resolving, or deleting comments.

Language Quality Assessment (LQA) flagging has also been streamlined to enable bulk flagging of issues. Together with a redesigned interface, we added the option to flag multiple issues at once. This can be done for both multiple selected segments or across particular repetitions. The issues created in bulk can be flagged as repeated or non-repeated and as such counted towards the final LQA score and reflected in downloadable LQA scorecards. Bulk editing and deleting are also supported. Please note that LQA is only available for Ultimate and Enterprise editions.

  • Memsource Discontinues Support for Internet Explorer 11

    • Q2 2020

    • 1 June

As of 1st July, 2020, Memsource will discontinue support for Internet Explorer 11. Although users may be able to access and work in Memsource after this date with Internet Explorer 11, they will not be able to receive technical support or take advantage of new features with this browser.

Users are therefore encouraged to upgrade to one of the supported browsers listed here.

We understand that this change might inconvenience some users in the short term. Unfortunately, since active development has stopped for Internet Explorer 11, we have found it increasingly difficult to build and maintain the best possible experience for the end-user. We hope that in the long run everyone will benefit from more focused development on modern browsers.
