Memsource Establishes US Office

Memsource Inc.

Memsource a.s. is proud to announce our US subsidiary, Memsource Inc.

With our mission to help global companies translate efficiently, we have focused on expanding operations across the world for several years, establishing our Japanese team in 2015 and our US team the following year. As our North America client base grew, so did the need to establish a local office.

The East Coast was an easy choice.

  • The new location will allow us to better serve our growing North American client base, without being too many time zones apart from our headquarters in Prague.
  • We like to be where the action is, and the growing tech community has us really excited.
  • It’s where ⅔ of our US team is already located.

Bill Lafferty leads the US team with over 20 years of experience in the translation industry, in roles ranging from translator to project manager to solution architect. Lafferty co-founded two language service providers: TBSJ and Lafferty Translation, LLC, but has now turned his attention to language technology and CAT tools.

“The market has become a moving target because of dramatic advances in technology. Memsource’s industry-leading API, tight integrations with connectors and machine translation engines, and patented AI algorithms are designed to meet these evolving needs,” he said.

“Most importantly, as we continue to provide more value-adding features, we haven’t abandoned our core values: a great translator UX based on our streamlined and translator-friendly UI. I am thrilled to take on this responsibility for Memsource. We’re just getting started.”

Lafferty is joined by two Enterprise Sales Managers – one on each coast.

Nolan Skowera, located in Boston, began his career leveraging technologies to improve operations and now helps teams decrease their annual translation spend with the goal of reaching a worldwide audience.

On the opposite coast, in San Francisco, you’ll find Eddie Medal. Medal has over a decade of experience in the software industry, helping customers connect with products to help automate processes and grow business.

“Our US office opens some exciting doors to build deeper relationships with our existing clients, and to tackle a new, diverse, and dynamic market,” said David Canek, Memsource CEO. “The team has really hit the ground running, and we’re already seeing a lot of traction. As Bill said, we’re just getting started.”
